The blue color of the sky is due to Rayleighscattering. As light moves through the atmosphere, most of the longer wavelengths pass straight through. Little of the red, orange and yellow light is affected by the air.

However, much of the shorter wavelength light is absorbed by the gas molecules. The absorbed blue light is then radiated in different directions. It gets scattered all around the sky. Whichever direction you look, some of this scattered blue light reaches you. Since you see the blue light from everywhere overhead, the sky looks blue.

The sky's are appeared to be blue in colour because..

The colour of space we all know is black..
the colour is cutted and shaded by many layers such as troposphere stratosphere mesosphere and thermosphere...

These layer are placed between the atmosphere and space which causes refraction in sun rays which emit yellow colour and the atmosphere appear as blue and therefore during night time when sun rays are not as high these rays are not seen and the sky seems black colour as refractions doesn't take place..

Hope it helps✌️✌️
