1 ) Smooth Surfaces Produces regular reflection of light because Light has the property to travel in a straight line in general condition but if a difficult irregular path comes in between the path of light instead of get reflecting in one direction it gets reflected to many directions due to which irregular reflections takes place in irregular surfaces and in smooth surfaces light produces strong beam of light due to which it appears to be travel in straight line.
2)This property is also known as linear propagation of light.
3)Another reason for reflecting regularly by smooth surfaces is that light wants to take quick path to reach any distance what we called it as "LIGHT IN A HURRY".
