Why sodium kept in only kerosene not in other solution?

Answer: Sodium is a highly reactive metal that reacts vigorously in oxygen.

To prevent is from reacting it is kept in kerosene, which prevents oxygen from contacting the sodium.

i dont know about sodium but if the the element is kept in kerosene means its highly explosive in air for not eploding its kept in kerosene
