arid region means places where there no rain occurs as a result high temperature is created and it is followed by low pressure ,as air move from higher pressure to lower pressure, the winds comes fairly and remove the top layer of soil causing soil erosion.

hello!

In arid regions, the soil is not fertile. This is because of soil erosion. Since the soil is not fertile, there are not much trees found. Trees hold on to the soil and prevent erosion. Since there are very few trees, the wind blows and soil erosion occurs. So soil erosion by wind is common in arid regions.

hope it helps :)
