please mark it as brainlist answer

Solids are rigid because the intermolecular forces of attraction that are present in the solids are very strong. The constituent particles of solids cannot move from their positions, they can only vibrate from their mean position.

Solids are rigid because their molecules usually exist in crystalline lattices. They may move around a bit around their equilibrium positions but, unlike liquids, they don’t move around freely. It is this crystalline structure that

The things which are rigid are known as solid as they resist to the structural change which are change in shape or volume. Its all because of the relative larger intermolecular attraction between them as compared to liquids and gas. Those all forces are electrostatic in nature and vary in accordance with factors including nature of molecules and heat as well as pressure supplied and applied respectively. By supplying heat we increase the kinetic energy of the molecule which able ourselves to change the shape or volume of the substance . And by elotrastic forces I mean the nature of forces like dipole dipole forces , Hydrogen bonding forces , London dispersion forces and Induced dipole forces .

here's your answer.........dear user..........❤❤❤✌✌✌

SOLID IS CALLED RIGID.......... because.........

1.). the solid particles of a solid is tightly packed.......

2.). they have very less intermolecular space....

3). solids have fixed shape and fixed volume....

RIGID means........."unbending" oo "inflexible"......

I hope it will help you...........❤❤❤✌✌✌
