Why some countries have Democracy and others do not ​

Because some people have decided they don’t want a democratic rule in their countries. Democracy rose to a huge popularity in the 20th century, thanks to decolonisation and failing communist systems. But in this period of democratisation, some people violated the process in order to prevent democracy from taking over. And some countries just stayed the way they were before.
