The reason for this is that water supports the creation of a lot of eggs.
The medium water is the main cause for laying so many eggs.
Whereas, the oviparous animals on land don’t get much support from the land when they are laying eggs.
This is the reason why the water animals are capable of laying many eggs whereas the normal animals cannot do so.
