Answer:

Calorie surplus is the main problem for these guys , because its impossible to know, how to measure calories of eating food all the time.

Explanation:

While a caloric surplus WILL cause weight gain, our bodies are more complicated than equations. How else would you explain folks who's calorie counters suggest they should be eating 1800 kcal but they're eating 2400–2800 kcal and staying the same weight?

If you want to maintain a long-term deficit and are willing to measure your food intake (don't worry if you don't want to; there are other habits you can adopt! ), keep track of what you eat for 3–7 days and average it out. If you subtract 300–500 calories from that, you have a deficit.

DO NOT TAKE AWAY 500 CALORIES IF YOUR NORMAL CALORIES ARE 1600 OR LOWER. DIETS WITH EXTREMELY LOW CALORIES DO NOT WORK AND WILL REGAIN WEIGHT. BUILD HABITS, NOT FAD DIETARY REQUIREMENTS.

EDIT- Many people have commented on this, and I agree that one of the graphics, while useful, is a little deceptive in one of its points. EGGS ARE LOW IN CALORIES.

:\pink\implies Unintentional weight gain occurs when you put on weight without increasing your consumption of food or liquid and without decreasing your activity. This occurs when you're not trying to gain weight. It's often due to fluid retention, abnormal growths, constipation, or pregnancy.
