hi
Some organisms like ferns, some groups of fungi reproduce by spore formation. *Spores can also be carried away easily by agents like wind water etc. ... *Plants produced by asexual reproduction are short lived than the plants produced by sexual reproduction.
Advantages would be it doesn't take much in the way of energy to produce a spore as opposed to making seeds and fruit. Also you can make lots and lots of spores. On the other hand the survival rate will be much lower than with a reproductive method that includes nutrients and more protection for the offspring.

Spore formation is a mode of asexual reproduction. It takes place in fungi. Spores are formed inside a globular structure called as sporangium.
Advantage of spore formation are:
1. Spore can survive under unfavorable conditions as they are covered by a hard protective coat.
2. Spores can help in producing a new organism and does not require sexual interaction with another organism.
3. Due to their small size and light weight, they can be dispersed easily.
