Why tap water conducts electricity while distilled water doen't?​

These salts dissociates into ions when electricity passed through it which are responsible for the electricity conductivity of tap water. But distilled water does not contain any dissolved salts, so it does not conduct electricity. tap water contains dissolved impurities which are capable of conducting electricity.

Tap water conducts electricity this is because of certain minerals present within it. Distilled water is in its purest form devoid of these electric conducting minerals due to which it is not able to conduct electricity.
