Why teenegers watch TV and chat than communicating with then peers

NOWADAYS teenagers are having more attraction with TV because televisions are having many channels which attract them they like watching many tv shows just because they include suspense , drama , action , comedy etc .
Social media is the main cause of chatting as we make friends on facebook , instagram , hike ,snapchat , etc and just because they like spending time on mobile they used to do any thing . for example - chatting with friends on social media
and that is why they watch TV and do chatting more than communicating with peers
