HEYA MATE HERE IS YOUR ANSWER

Animals also need fresh water to carry out cell activity. Some animals drink waterregularly to keep hydrated, digest food and build body fluids. Some fishes need saltwater and others need fresh water. Many kinds of fish such as clams and trout get oxygen from water

▀▄▀▄ANSWER▄▀▄▀

TERRESTRIAL ANIMALS:

Terrestrial animals are animals that live predominantly or entirely on land .

Ex- cats, ants, snails.

___________________

Terrestrial animals requires fresh water because , their kidneys would have to be able to flush out the salt like some marine animals can.

Salt is a dehydrator. Thus when they drink salt water, they'd have to take in a huge amount of water and be able to flush out the salt in order to maintain the salinity of the blood.
