every region has different characteristics.. there are different types of soil ,different weather conditions in different regions.fertility of soil also matters. For eg. the northern plains are very fertile due to alluvial soil. Gujarat is famous for cotton and sugarcane as there is an availability of black soil. south India is famous for spices due to nilgiri mountains and different weather climate
