why the acceleration of body with uniform velocity is zero ?

a=dv/dt=k/dt=0 (where k is a constant).
that's why acceleration is zero.

The definition of acceleration is Rate of Change in velocity.When velocity is uniform,there is no change.So the acceleration will be equal to 0.
