Why the acid is added in n water not water in the acid while diluation of an acid?

Because when we put water in acid a lot of heat is produced. And it may be dangerous for us like burning skin.

Because if water is added to a acid . Acid it will be highly exothermic and the heat generated might break the walls of the glass container and cause the mixture to splash out leading to burns ...
