Blood is a buffer solution it has ph of 8 means it is alkaline because it is a solution of water RBC WBC and platelet but saliva has pH from 6.5-7.0 so when bleeding occurs we apply saliva on that part and because it has water so first it stops our irritation and further disaccharides or amalyse present in mouth is salt so it stops blood flow and also platelet Help it.If yu remember that during honey bee sting we apply sodium bicarbonate or baking soda on affected part. I hope you understand this thanks
