Why the boiling point of primary alcohols is higher than tertiary alcohols?

The hydroxyl group of a primary alcohol is more “exposed” than it is in a tertiary alcohol (which is flanked by two bulky alkyl groups), ..
so the boiling point of primary alcohols is higher than tertiary alcohols.
