Why the colour of blue copper sulphate solution becomes light green when iron powder added to it?

When iron fillings are added into copper sulphate soln. Displacement reaction takes place.

Hence the iron in displaces copper from its solution and change to ferrous sulphate which is light green in colour

The reaction is given as follows :-

CuSO4 + Fe —————> FeSO4 + Cu

Answer-:When an iron nail immersed in the solution of copper sulphate than iron displaces copper from the solution of copper sulphate because iron is more reactive than copper. Therefore copper sulphate solution colour changes from blue to pale green.
