The cells of the leaves helps in the process of photosynthesis. In this process starch is produced. Now starch becomes blue when it comes into the contact of iodine solution due to the synthesis of starch iodine complex. Now the cells of tree leaves having high density of starch become blue when it comes in the contact of iodine solution.
