Why the colour of sky is blue.

it is not blue it is white but appears like blue

The colour of the sky is blue because of the phenomenon of the scattering of light in the sky by the tiny particles as we know in the VIBGYOR spectrum the blue colour has least wavelength than the other colours in the band thus the blue colours splits and dissociates faster than any other colour thus the sky looks blue....
