Because of their structure they bent the light at one point. They have a structure like this ")" in which there is silver plating on the back side of it and hence it reflects the light from the front open space.
This structure helps them to converge the light as soon as it touches the open side at a particular angle( depending on where the light is touching the mirror) which in turn causes the light to be focused at one point
