because when matter is in gaseous state its particles movement is fastest so they exert more pressure

this why because we know that air has less intermolecular spaces and thus this less intermolecular spaces help them to exert a high amount of pressure on the both of the sides internal as well as external . as we know that external environment is full of air and thus the vapours can exert the same amount of pressure as in outside.
