why the latent heat of fusion of solid CO2 less than that of SiO2???

latent heat of fusion of solid CO2 less than that of SIO2 because size of si is begger than C and also SI is more electroposituve than C thats why the bond between SI and O is weaker than C and O that why its esay for SIO2 to convert in gas .
