Why the low caste people are called as untouchables?

low caste people were considered as untouchables or harijans (people of god, name given by gandhiji to them) because society of that time was divided by the caste system. The caste system comprises four categories-:
1. Brahmanas
2. Vaishyas
3. kshatriyas
4. Sudras
Sudras being the lower most class faced many evil practices done by upper classes. The all three upper castes considered Sudras as untouchables because they force them to do manual labouring like manual scavenging etc....

They are called as untochables as they low caste people and r poor this not fair done with them becaude of their poor conditions
