Why the number of times the fish opens and closes its mouth in a minute is faster than the number of times humans breathe in and out?

we humans will open our mouth to breath at least 20 to 25 times but fish opens its mouth at least 50 to 150 times.

That's because the presence of oxygen in water is in combined form also it is very less as compared to the amount present in the it thus they breathe at higher rate as compared to human beings
