On the other hand, the exceptional boys who take school seriously show up in disproportionately high numbers for standardized tests. Gender-equity activists like Sadker ought to apply their logic consistently: if the shortage of girls at the high end of the ability distribution is evidence of unfairness to girls, then the excess of boys at the low end should be deemed evidence of unfairness to boys.

Many people in today's society believe the male gender as superior when compared with the female gender. This is going on since the past. In many places, this belief has been demolished too but societies exist where people have a thinking like this.

But why do they feel this towards girls???

We feel see this in the section below.

In the past, when a girl used to take birth in a family, the members of the family gave her dolls and girlish toys, & taught her the house chores, just to make them timid in front of the boys. There was a belief that girls were only born to help in the household works, marry as fast as possible with a good guy, have children and die.
And, all this was not in a positive way at all. In fact, when a girl was born, most of the families took it as unfortunate and bad luck. They thought that they will have to work day and night harder just to pay the dowries in her marriage. They married her as fast as they could, and thus, many were married when they kids known as $\textbf {Child\:Marriage}$ which is today an offensive crime.
She was taught all the work from making food, to washing dishes, to washing clothes, and to get humilated.
Also, when her husband got frustration in his job or any outside pressure, he would cool himself down by beating her badly. This was all her life.
After technology started to arise, the people started to bribe doctors just to check if there was a girl or a boy inside the womb. This is known as $\textbf {Female\:Infanticide}$. No one used to understand what was going on inside the females at that time.

Now let us see what used to happen if a boy took birth in a family...
When a boy was born, various different types of sweets were distributed in the whole village and celebrations used to take place. He was given several expensive toys and was taught to be bold and strong. He always used to play and people spent money on him for his studies, denying the fact that he wasn't interested in studying at all. He grew up, failed several times, was without a good charecter, got married with a girl, used to beat her all time and hanged out with another woman.
Just imagine what was the girl going through.

I just wonder why don't people understand that,
