Why the places near the poles are very cold as compared to the places near the equator

because the sunlight near.the poles are.low.is.you do research on it you will find that in6months in north there is no sunlight make.brainlest

As the shape of the earth is a a ball as we a know...lol
This happens because of the slanting rays for the sun towards the two poles...the equator receives more heat as it gets the direct rays for the sun ....
