rate of reaction depends on the concentration per unit time.as the reaction proceeds concentration of the reactant decreases and concentration of the product increases with the time.therefore rate of reaction does not remain constant throughout the chemical reaction

we know that, rate of reaction is defined as the change in concentration per unit time i.e, the amount of reactant decreases with time & the amount of product always increases with time. thus, rate of reaction can never be constant.
