Bacteria resistant to antibiotics. Some bacteria have developedresistance to antibiotics that were once commonly used to treat them. For example, Staphylococcus aureus ('golden staph' or MRSA) and Neisseria gonorrhoeae (the cause of gonorrhoea) are now almost always resistant to benzyl penicillin
