During the sea voyage from Europe to India, many sailors died because of the scurvy, infectious malaria, and injuries.
EXPLANATION:
The sailors suffered severely from scurvy that occurs as a result of a lack of diet that is rich in Vitamin C. This vitamin could be attained by taking a proper food diet that is rich in it and couldn’t be made metabolically by a human.
Due to the prolonged voyage, sailors couldn’t make food that contained enough of Vitamin C and that resulted in death. Deadly Malarial infections also accounted for sailors' death.
