Yes. Oil containing food items change their taste and smell if kept for many days. It is because oil becomes rancid when exposed to air. Here the unsaturated fat contained in oil gets oxidized and the oxidation products formed causes the bad taste and smell of food. Rancidity of oil spoils the food item and makes the food tasteless. It can be prevented by adding anti-oxidants to oily foods,storing food items in air tight containers etc
