why the smell of hot sizzling reaches us from a distance but for smelling cold food we need to go near?

in case of hot sizzling food intermolecular force in between of particles are high so the smell of food reaches us very fast but in case of cold food the intermolecular force of particle is very low so the smell of food reaches us very slowly

because the hot air diffuse with the atmosphere so we get smell and also the kinetic energy is more. It increases with increase in temperature

This is because the process of diffusion is taking place faster here due to the increase in kinetic energy of solid particles,but to get the smell from cold food you have to go close.
