2) It has been chosen asstandard meridian of time as it is situated between the laltitudes and longitudes.

The sun rises earlier in east as it is the eastern most STATE of INDIA where as Gujrat is the western most STATE of INDIA. The watches shows the same time because the 82'30' has been chosen as the standard meridian. at mirjapur . there for our watches show the same time
