why the termaric stain on a cloth becomes redish while washing with soap​

It is because turmeric contains an acid (tartaric acid), while the soap contains a base (sodium hydroxide). When an acid reacts with a base, neutralization reaction takes place and the stain becomes neutral.Therefore, due to this reaction the stain turns red. ... It's due to the PH balance of the soap

Turmeric is an acid base indicator. It turns dark yellow when acidic and red when basic. As soap is base so it changes the colour of the turmeric stain into red.
