the speed of rotation at singapore is much faster than thet at tokya as the speed of rotation is earth is maximum at the equator and goes on decreasing and finally is the minimum when it reaches the poles...as singapore is located close to the equator the speed is more whereas tokyo and russia are located towards the poles and hence the speed of rotation is less

Because of the rotation of Earth. The speed of rotation at Singapore is much faster than that at Tokyo or Russia as the speed of rotation is Earth is maximum at the ‘equator’ and goes on decreasing and becomes minimum when reaches to poles. Singapore is located close to the equator the speed of rotation is maximum, but Tokyo or Russia are located near the poles where the speed of rotation is minimum.
