Why the use of dry wood as domestic fuel is not considered to be good?

Dry wood is not considered as the good domestic fuel because burning of dry fuel causes smoke, which pollutes the air.

Another reason is that, the trees are to be cut in order to get this fuel, which is hazardous to environment.

Additionally, it is highly possible that dry wood will catch fire, if comes in contact with the fire, so it is not safe to store it at home.
