the solution used by the goldsmith was aqua-regia solution which contains concentrated nitric acid and concentrated hydrochloric acid in the ratio of 1:3 ...when the bangles (gold bangles) are dipped into the solution.. considerable amount of gold gets dissolved in it which causes the weight of bangle to get reduced....
