Why there are no blood capillaries in the cornea of the eye and cartilage?How are these regions supplied with the required nutrients?

blood capillaries can cloud the cornea and thus prevent refraction therefore, no blood capillaries are present the cornea. The aqueous humor is present in eye which provide nutrition to the eye .

in case of cartilage the nutrition diffuses through a dense connective tissue call perichondrium into the core of the cartilage.
