Why there are no hair on our palms??

Typically, people don't grown hair on the soles of our feet or palms of our hands. This is because this skin on these parts lacks hair follicles, and does not therefore produce hair. This is also the true for lips!

we need to grip things with our palm(also feet), if there was hair present, it would interfere and not let us do so. also , the epidermis in these parts of the body are very thick and keratinized , when combined with thick underlying layer of dermis , it results in no supporting of hair follicles
