why there is 6 months day nd 6 months nights in Antarctica

there is 6 months day and 6 months night in Antarctica because it is present on the south pole of earth .so the the position of earth is different just because of rotation ( day and night ) .the north pole face towards the sun for 6 months and 6 months towards the south. this is too with south pole.
