Although there are so many water resources , there is only 0.1 % of water available as fresh water and most of it is present in the form of glaciers.
So drinking water is very less and is not likely to be available in future .
Also, population is increasing day by day but increase in drinkable water resources is very less , so to fulfil the needs of our future generations we need to conserve water.
