Why there is a spark when we take out woolen clothes in dark?

This happens due to static electricity created when wool is rubbed against our body. When we take out thewoolen cloth it gets charged and due to electric discharge the charge flows between the body and cloth .Because of the rubbing we hear the crackling sound
