Why there is an urgent need to replace 'what can I take' with 'what can I give'?

People are becoming selfish day by day.
They just want more in the name of greed.
Instead of what can I take there should be a tendency what can I give.
One has to be giving and instead of filling their own pockets, they must think of helping the poor and the needy.
