Sexual reproduction provides genetic diversity because the sperm and egg that are produced contain different combinations of genes than the parent organisms. Asexual reproduction, on the other hand, does not need sperm and eggs since one organism splits into two organisms that have the same combination of genes.

Why there is more variations in sexual reproduction?

Answer ⤵️

Sexual reproduction gives rise to more viable variation than asexual reproduction. Because in sexual reproduction, genetic material from both the parents mixed (recombination of parent chromosomes) by fertilization. ... Hence, offsprings that produced are the excat copy of their parent.
