why there is no enzymes to digest vitamins

Vitamins do not require to be broken down to smaller molecules because they already are small enough to pass through the transporters in the plasma membrane of gut cells. ... Because vitamins can be absorbed without breaking them down into further smaller components in the digestive tract .
