why there r only 46 chromosomes as there are more than 46 cells are present in our body and each cell contain more than 1 chromosomes?

Each human cell contains 46 chromosomes and different animals contain different number of chromosomes .And thus an adult human body totally contains billions and billions of chromosomes but only of 46 types.From them one pair of chromosome is sex chromosome and other 22 pairs are autosomes.Also, normally in cell these chromosomes are present in the form of chromatin.During cell division these chromatids(plural form) condenses and attaches with histone protein and forms chromosome.
