Transpiration is a necessary evil because it is an inevitable process but potentially harmful. Loss of water can lead to wilting, serious dessication and often death of plant,if there is shortage t water. Hope it helps.

Answer:

Hi friend________,

★ Transpiration is essential for the movement of water and minerals from the root to the healthy parts of the plant.

★ But excess transpiration may result in drying up of the leaves or wilting & loss of soil water.

★ Hence it is termed as a necessary evil.

Thank you! (^.^)
