Why us arabian ocean is more saline than bay if bengal?

Surface temperature in the Bay of Bengal is usually between 22°C and 31ºC. ... Salinity near the surface in the Arabian Sea is much higher than in the Bay of Bengal because evaporation over the Arabian Sea is much greater and it receives relatively less river runoff.

Because there are very few rivers or almost no rivers draining fresh water into Arabian sea whereas Bay of Bengal receive huge volume of fresh water from Himalayan river Basin Gangs, Brahmaputra and many more plus Peninsular river Basin..
