Thank you for asking the question!Coal and petroleum were formed millions of years ago. They both have innumerable advantages like coal is used to manufacture coke, it is used to generate electricity and it is being used for industrial purposes as well. On the other hand, petroleum is used for cooking, it is used as a fuel and for making paraffin or wax. Hence coal and petroleum are very advantageous. As they both are among the nonrenewable resources so they must be used wisely because the survival of these two fossils will be very difficult.I hope it helps
