At velocities that are very low compared to that of light, inertiaremains constant, because the mass remains constant. ... At these speeds, inertia is not dependent on velocity of the body. However, as the velocityapproaches that of light, theacceleration decreases and the inertiaincreases drastically

sparsh56: when velocity approaches toward light then why acceleration decreases and inertia incresaes drastically?

At velocities that are very low compared to that of light, inertia remains constant, because the mass remains constant. Hence as you accelerate, the momentum increases due to increase in velocity. ... The momentum increases, not due to increase in velocity, but due to increase in the effective mass.
